Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunities –Ballarat & Launceston, Australia

NeuroCentrix is seeking motivated Consultant Psychiatrists from the UK to join our expanding multidisciplinary teams in Ballarat and Launceston.
We are committed to delivering innovative, evidence-based mental health services, including TMS and esketamine treatments, in clinics across eastern Australia.
Our psychiatry and psychology-led practice provides a collaborative approach, professional development opportunities, and supportive work environment.
About the Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist at NeuroCentrix, you will:
- Provide high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a patient population with mood and memory disorders, including depression, PTSD and Alzheimers Disease.
- Work closely with psychologists, nurse practitioners and mental health nurses to provide wholistic care.
- Be able to access or provide new treatments including esketamine and TMS, when clinically appropriate.
- Benefit from flexible working arrangements and a positive, collegial culture.
- Potentially qualify for Australia’s new Expedited Specialist Pathway, streamlining the recognition of your UK qualifications to give you immediate conditional consultant psychiatrist registration.

Ballarat, Australia – Historic Victorian regional centre with a strong sense of community and excellent schools, only 1.5 hours from Melbourne
Launceston, Australia – Picturesque Tasmanian city offering a relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty.

Expedited Specialist Pathway
UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrists are eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway, streamlining the process for registration. Our dedicated team will assist you through every step of the transition, ensuring a smooth and efficient move to Australia.

- Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK)
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA via the Expedited Specialist Pathway
- Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to contribute to a dynamic, growing organisation
