Priory Hospital Preston is a 38-bedded independent mental health hospital based in Bartle in Preston, specialising in the management and treatment of acute mental ill health and eating disorders. The Priory Hospital Preston has established an excellent reputation for offering calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 38 service users, over 3 wards.   

Bartle Ward – 10-bedded eating disorders
Cottam Ward – 12-bedded acute mental health
Rosemary Ward – 16-bedded acute mental health

We are looking for;

• Consultant Psychiatrist Eating Disorder ward, 22.5 hours- Salary £93,417
• Consultant Psychiatrist Acute ward, 15 hours – Salary £62,278

 You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments. The role is a pivotal element of an established multi-disciplinary team aiming to ensure that patients receive a person-centric care and treatment programme.  If you are passionate about delivering first class psychiatric care we would love to hear from you.

You will be an excellent team player keen to participate in a multi disciplinary approach to assessment with a keen interest in developing services within a forward thinking transitional environment. 

To join us, you must hold the following,

• CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry
• experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
• Previous experience in Eating Disorder Services at consultant level
• You will continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry.
